Answers to common questions about how Proofline market context works during the public beta. If your question is not here, get in touch below.
What is Proofline?
Proofline connects prediction markets to the news, primary sources, upcoming events, observed price reactions, and resolution facts that give them context. It helps you understand what is moving a market and how strong the evidence is. It is context, not advice.
Is this financial or trading advice?
No. Proofline is not a trading recommendation and is not investment advice. It does not tell you what to trade, does not judge whether a market’s price is right or wrong, and does not predict how a market will resolve. Evidence direction describes how a development relates to a market’s question, nothing more.
What does evidence direction mean?
Each piece of evidence is read for how it relates to the market’s outcome (for example, supports YES, supports NO, mixed, or neutral). This is a description of the development’s relationship to the question. It is not a recommendation and does not tell you what position to take.
Why did a market move after a development?
Where we show an observed price reaction, we are reporting what the price did around a development in time. Market movement after a development does not prove the development caused it. Many things move a market at once.
What is resolution intelligence?
We show the market’s own resolution wording, break it into clauses, and flag wording that could be read more than one way. This helps you understand how a market is written to settle. It does not replace the venue’s official resolution, and it does not promise any outcome.
How do I follow a market or set alerts?
Open a market from Evidence and choose Follow. Followed markets appear on your watchlist. Choose what surfaces in alert settings. Following is not a position and places no order.
The evidence on a market looks wrong. What do I do?
Open the market and choose “Report incorrect evidence.” Your report is private to you and is reviewed by hand. When a correction is made, it appears publicly on the market with a short note. You can see the status of your reports in your account.
Why are only a few markets covered?
This is a public beta. Coverage is intentionally limited so that every market we show has real, cited evidence. We would rather show a small, well-sourced set than a large, thin one. Nothing is fabricated when there is no evidence to show.
WHAT PROOFLINE IS NOT
- Not a broker and not a place to trade. Proofline places no orders and holds no funds.
- Not investment advice and not a trading recommendation.
- Not a promise about how any market will resolve.
- Not a claim that any source caused a price to move.
CONTACT SUPPORT
During the public beta, email support@proofline.app with questions, evidence concerns, or feedback. For a specific market, using “Report incorrect evidence” on that market gives us the most context.
